There are two forms of veneers – porcelain and composite. Porcelain Veneers

A Veneer is a thin layer of tooth-coloured porcelain which is attached to the front of the tooth. A small amount of enamel is removed before an impression is taken. After a technician moulds the veneer it is cemented to the tooth.

Composite Veneers

In general, composite veneers can be completed without removing enamel but in some cases enamel is removed. After a small amount of the tooth enamel is prepared, composite materials are placed onto the tooth and reshaped into a natural looking tooth.
